A village called Shyira

Monday, August 11th, 2008

A little boy runs down the mud path shouting “The mazungu has come! The mazungu has come!” All the children run to see. Coming down the road is the white doctor. They run to hug their friend. They all want to carry a bag. Soon they start up the mountain where they plan to build their church. Soon the whole village has gathered to hear the mazungu tell the story of Jesus. Then she gives them the Bible lesson books and colors. When she has finished the children’s choir starts to sing. Much to their delight the white doctor had lovingly made some choir robes for them! They where so exited and they sang louder then ever.

This has not happened yet, but still the children of Shyira are waiting for the mazungu to come. The white doctor is even now sewing the choir robes. She is moving in faith. She dos not have the money for her tickets. Keep praying so that on the 28th of August that little boy will be able to tell everyone “the mazungu has come”

North Rwanda

We came to Rwanda to give,

A soul to win are motive,

Rejected but willing to forgive,

We returned again to give,

Union president welcome was positive,

A truck being hired to port gifts,

Field stations emotions were explosive,

Again rejected yet willing to forgive,

We left, still wanting to give,

Permission granted was relative,

Only a GC letter could make them receptive,

A signed welcome letter refused to give,

Again rejected yet willing to forgive,

We wait for an opening to give,

Permission finally was given,

Again a truck was hired to port gifts,

The Government was vary receptive,

100 bibles we where able to give,

Call to be a missionary

Who for us will go,

To a world of woe,

I will search high and low,

Will you go,

There’s no time to be slow,

For the world must know,

Time is almost or,

So get up and go,
